About Us – The Heart Behind Graceful Purrs

At Graceful Purrs, we believe every cat deserves love, safety, and a soft place to land. We are a faith-rooted, nonprofit rescue serving Central Florida, dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming community cats—one paw at a time.

Founded by Nicole and Jim Greear, our journey began not in a boardroom, but right in our backyard—with a handful of hungry, wide-eyed strays who needed help and had nowhere to turn. Since then, we’ve fostered and found homes for over 30 cats and have personally adopted 18 into our own home (yes, we believe in leading by example!). We also care daily for over 10 colony cats who now have a name, a safe place to sleep, and full bellies.

Our Mission

To rescue, restore, and rehome community cats across Central Florida by partnering with local shelters, veterinary clinics, and compassionate individuals. We provide not only adoption and foster support, but also free supplies, medical resources, and emotional support to families growing their households with a new furry member.

But Graceful Purrs is more than a rescue—it’s a calling.
We love God, people, and cats—and in that order. Our faith inspires us to serve selflessly and care deeply, not just for the animals in our charge, but for the communities and families who love them.
